rag & bone NY Fashion Week
rag & bone asked Limelight to create a 3D visual experience for their Fall/ Winter 2020 run way show for New York Fashion Week. Typically help is small intimate rooms, the rag & bone team wanted to break away from the traditional and put on a massive show. The result was a space that help over 600 guests, and featured a massive circular runway, highlighted by a 110 foot wide wall featuring the artwork of Limelight.
Scott Hallock lead the visual production, working directly with then CEO and co-founder Marcus Wainright, and his creative team. Fashion shows often have last minute changes, and the collection is coming together just days before the event. This presented a unique challenge that Scott and the entire Limelight team had to navigate. How to create a cohesive show, featuring content that takes weeks to produce, when the final length and model lineup is being changed in the days leading up. The solution was to create a series of worlds, from a neon dystopian London to an immersive jungle, that could be adapted to fit the appropriate timing of the models.
In the end, the show delivered was "the most successful in rag & bone's history" and broke the mold for immersive visual storytelling in live fashion runway shows.
